OpenClaw
OpenClaw acts as a local Agent Gateway. Add ApiHub through `models.providers`, then point your tools at the local gateway address.

1
Start OpenClaw
Install and launch the OpenClaw Gateway per the official docs.
2
Add the ApiHub provider
Add ApiHub to openclaw.json with an explicit model and the OpenAI Completions protocol.
openclaw.json
{
"agents": {
"defaults": {
"model": { "primary": "apihub/deepseek-v4-flash" }
}
},
"models": {
"mode": "merge",
"providers": {
"apihub": {
"baseUrl": "https://www.apihub.ink/v1",
"apiKey": "${APIHUB_KEY}",
"api": "openai-completions",
"models": [
{ "id": "deepseek-v4-flash", "name": "DeepSeek V4 Flash" }
]
}
}
}
}Environment variable
export APIHUB_KEY="your-apihub-key"3
Point your tools at the gateway
Set your tool's Base URL to the local OpenClaw address; it will forward requests to ApiHub.
Verification
- Requests proxied through OpenClaw reach ApiHub and return results.
Common Errors
- Using the obsolete `backends` YAML example.
- `baseUrl` is missing `/v1`, or `APIHUB_KEY` is not set.
